125 days until the OKC Marathon

125 days until the OKC Marathon
Training begins tomorrow 12/23/13
Weight = 141 pounds

Workouts for the week: Monday 3 mile run and ZUMBA fitness. Tuesday 3 mile run.  Wednesday REST as it is Christmas Day!  Thursday 5 mile run.  Friday Fierce.  Saturday 8 mile run.  Sunday REST!

My training begins tomorrow.  I know I can go the distance but know to do so will require me taking a SERIOUS look at my nutrition.  I will be using myfitnesspal to log my foods especially my carbohydrate intake.  Runners need carbs but I go overboard.  You can friend me if you like at the site my username is zumbagirl1962.  Society would not view me as needing to loose weight but it does slow me down.  Realistically for a 51 year old woman I think 10 pounds are doable but at 5'3" would like to be 125ish.  Probably not obtainable due to the havoc that a woman's body goes through during menopause.

Looks like all my runs will be inside this week due to weather.  Love the 6 laps = 1 mile indoor track at the Down Town YMCA.  Need a better way to keep track of my laps.  I can't see the lap counter on my Garmin.  At one time I used a knotted rosary to count laps and might need to go back to that.
